WE OWN THE DARK is a new podcast co-hosted by Nuclear War Skills founding member Jason Von Godi and Oregon based film critic & screenwriter Jerry J Sampson. The podcast covers dark horror double features from the perspective of horror writers and filmmakers.
Jerry and Jason met at FilmQuest where they both had feature screenplays in competition and became fast friends over their love for the horror genre. The co-hosts use their respective knowledge to compare and contrast contemporary horror films with the pre-digital era.
Jerry’s film criticism can be found in Rue Morgue, Ghoul Magazine and her website Whisky & Horror. Jason’s first feature film (w/ co-creator Jason Rader), The Hoot Owl is available on Blu-ray and streaming on Tubi, Troma Now and Kings of Horror.
