Our flagship event, The Buffalo Tree Festival, was created to inspire a movement where musicians and artists share their voices and show their support for candidates that will stand up for civil rights, our environment, racial equality, gun control, and more. 

On Sunday, October 7th 2018 the inaugural Buffalo Tree Festival took over Main Street Garden in Downtown Dallas, TX. 

Co-Presented with The Homegrown Festival Music & Arts Festival in partnership with The Beto O’Rourke Campaign and The Dallas Democratic Party, the all-ages, family-friendly music and political engagement festival saw musical acts and Democratic candidates take the stage for a day of entertainment, voter registration, and democracy in action.

Musical headliners include Spoon, The Polyphonic Spree, Sparta, Bobby Sessions, Sarah Jaffe, and Kim Olson and many more. 

Live music was interspersed with appearances by Texas 2018 Democratic candidates including rising Democratic star and 2018 Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, Colin Allred (civil rights attorney, former NFL player and former Obama Administration official running for Congress in Texas' 32nd district), Lupe Valdez (2018 Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas), Justin Nelson (2018 Democratic candidate for Texas Attorney General), and John Creuzot (2018 Democratic Candidate for Dallas District Attorney).
